Mark has established himself as one of the most interesting and exciting comics on the circuit. Since reaching the final of So You Think You’re Funny in 2009 Mark has gigged all over the UK and abroad, supported Russell Kane on his national tour and become a regular MC. In 2012 he appeared at the Edinburgh Festival as part of the long-running and prestigious package show The Comedy Zone and returned in 2013 with his debut solo show, The Most Astonishing Name in Comedy, and in 2015 with his brand-new hour long show, Log Flume. He has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC2) and Nick Helm’s Heavy Entertainment (BBC Three), and as a presenter for MTV2. He also performs warm-up gigs for shows such as Have I Got News For You (BBC1) and Room 101 (BBC1), as well as writing for TV on 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), radio on The News Quiz (Radio 4) and online for This Just In (Channel 4) . He has recently launched a new webseries called The Singing Teacher with Tiger Aspect which was co-written by and co-starred Lloyd Griffith. Away from comedy Mark has appeared in commercial adverts, for William Hill bookmakers and Ballentine’s Whiskey ,as well as written for commercial advertising campaigns, most notably for Tesco and Tango. Mark is currently developing a new panel show and has started shooting on Mark Smith Versus the People, a short pilot of his own show produced by Turtle Canyon.
