Sara is best known for holding the helm of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show for 4 years during which time she recorded ratings of over 8 million listeners. She made her big break into entertainment with The GIRLIE SHOW (C4) in 1996 and has since presented numerous TV and Radio shows including MAKE MY DAY (C4) and BORN SLOPPY (C4). She is currently one of the regular hosts on the daily BBC2 show TOO MUCH TV, and has also recently presented THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN (BBC2) and authored a documentary for the W Channel, SARA COX ON FRIENDSHIP. Other recent work includes hosting NEVERMIND THE BUZZCOCKS for BBC2, THE APPRENTICE YOU'RE FIRED for BBC2, ROOM 101 for BBC1 and EUROVISION SONG CONTEST for BBC3. She is also a frequent guest on panel shows including QI and CELEBRITY JUICE. In 2013 she made the move from Radio 1 to Radio 2, currently hosting SOUNDS OF THE 80'S every Friday night as well as Chris Evans' permanent stand in on THE BREAKFAST SHOW. She also contributes regularly to LOOSE ENDS on Radio 4. Sara is in demand as a writer and columnist, formerly for the SUNDAY MIRROR, and currently for the INDEPENDENT. Her next TV presenting job will be Series 2 of THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN, filming in the summer.
