Brian Limond, or Limmy, came to the world's attention with his anarchic website and podcasts (who can forget the genius of his Xylophone). After performing hugely successful stand-up, including at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, The Comedy Unit worked with him on his own 6 part series for BBC Scotland which he wrote, directed and starred in. Accurately described as "the most blisteringly original sketch show on TV" by the RADIO TIMES and after huge critical acclaim, it returned for a second and third series on BBC SCOTLAND, and is now available on Netflix. In 2013, he won his second BAFTAScotland Award for Best Comedy/Entertainment Programme. He recently wrote and performed a sketch for BBC iPlayer, FUNNY VALENTINE, which was their most viewed short, and a short film for Sky Arts, LIMMY'S CHRISTMAS. In January 2016 LIMMY LIVE! played for four sold-out nights at Glasgow's SECC Arena and is developing plans to tour the show. He has appeared in such shows as the IT CROWD, POMPIDOU and CHARLIE BROOKER'S WEEKLY WIPES. He is a tweeter of prolific, occasionally vitriolic, but unfailingly brilliant material and he is currently developing a new idea for television with Big Talk. His first book of short stories, DAFT WEE STORIES, was published by Random House in 2015.
