Brenda is an established comedy writer and performer and has worked as a writer, actress and stand up comic for many years on the stage, in radio and on television. Most recently she was a writer on the multi award winning ITV show HARRY HILL'S TV BURP (awards include 3 Baftas, 4 British Comedy Awards, 2 Royal Television Society Awards). Other writing credits include ITV’s LILY LIVE starring Paul O Grady as Lily Savage, plays for Radio 4 (WHATEVER HAPPENED TO JOANNA SPRING? and WELL THAT'S ONE WAY OF LOOKING AT IT) and as a script consultant on various projects for Avalon Television. As a stand up comic, she is best known for her comedy character Page Three Stunna Gayle Tuesday and she wrote and performed in the series GAYLE'S WORLD for ITV (which won a Royal Television Society Award for Best Entertainment Programme). Brenda recently reprised the role for a 60 minute mockumentary for Sky Living: GAYLE TUESDAY: THE COMEBACK. As an actress she has appeared in numerous plays and TV shows including THE HARRY HILL SHOW for Channel 4, Petunia in the play THE THREESOME by Eugene Labiche at The Lyric Hammersmith, Brenda in the sitcom EXTREME SOAP for ITV and Celia in a national tour of CALENDAR GIRLS. Brenda is currently working on sitcom projects with Baby Cow Productions and Objective Television and featured frequently in JACK DEE'S HELP DESK at the Edinburgh Festival 204.
