David Walliams is one of Britain’s best-loved comedians. ‘LITTLE BRITAIN’, his creation with Matt Lucas, started on Radio 4 and soon progressed to BBC1. The show has won numerous international awards including three BAFTAs, and now plays in over 100 countries. ‘LITTLE BRITAIN LIVE’ performed to a million people in the UK, Ireland and Australia. David and Matt followed 'LITTLE BRITAIN' with the hugely popular spoof airport documentary series 'COME FLY WITH ME'. Most recently, David can be seen in his series of 'WALLIAMS AND FRIEND' for the BBC alongside Joanna Lumley, Jack Whitehall and many more. David has proved himself as a dramatic actor, with acclaimed roles in Stephen Poliakoff’s ‘CAPTURING MARY' for BBC2, in PARTNERS IN CRIME for the BBC with Jessica Raine, and on the stage in Harold Pinter’s 'NO MAN'S LAND' starring alongside Sir Michael Gambon. He was awarded the Comedy Award at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for his performance as Bottom in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. As a children's author David has had enormous critical and commercial success. His television adaptation of his book MR STINK received a BAFTA nomination for Best Comedy Programme, further to this, numerous of his novels have now been adapted for television including THE BOY IN THE DRESS, BILLIONAIRE BOY and GANGSTA GRANNY. David is a trustee of Comic Relief, a charity he has personally raised £8.5m for, most notably swimming the English Channel in 2006 and the River Thames in 2011.
